The Lord Will Provide

"And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together" (Genesis 22:8).

It seems like every time we turn on the television we're hearing about recession, a failing economy, closing businesses, layoffs, and financial hardships. If you yield to all the negativity it will weaken your faith and trust in God. No matter how real these issues may seem in the natural, the truth is that as a child of the Most High God you don't have to participate in the recession. The good news is that we are citizens of another system called the Kingdom of God. We serve a King named Jesus, and He is unlimited in power, provisions, and resources.

The Bible says to take no thought about things that the Gentiles or sinners waste their time doing (Matthew 6:25-33). Jesus admonishes us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Seeking the Kingdom of God means seeking God's way of doing things or His system of operation. Taking thought about your life means expressing worry, doubt, and anxiety through your thoughts and your words. You don't have to worry about what you're going through. You serve a Jehovah-jireh Who is rich in all things. He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory, through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Like Abraham who needed to see God move suddenly, you too can experience a mighty move of God. Just before Abraham was about to slay his child, the angel of the Lord stopped him and turned his attention to a provision. The Lord provided a lamb for the sacrifice. Abraham and his son returned home worshipping God. You may be in desperate need right now, but don't slay your promise. Don't kill your dream thinking that it's not going to happen. Turn your direction from the problem to the Provider. Your miracle has already been set in motion. You just have to open your heart to receive it. When life seems tough and your finances seem to need life support, just repeat these words as often as you can - The Lord will provide! You're going to have to be sensitive to the voice of the Spirit because provisions are often hidden in a bush - an opportunity, an idea, a connection, or an instruction you are to follow. God has a million ways to bless you. Don't limit God, and don't limit yourself. There's a ram in the bush, and you will see Jehovah-jireh like you have never seen before.
