Unleash Your Prophetic Voice
“Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth” (Jeremiah 1:9).
There's a new generation of soaring prophetic eagles that God is raising up in these last days. This group of ravenous warriors is unlike any generation before. There is a rich deposit of the former and latter anointing passed on to these vessels. They represent the new Joshua's and Caleb's of our day. Do you sense a strong prophetic call upon your life for the day in which we live? The word prophetic has several meanings that I want to briefly explain: foretelling events by divine inspiration; predicting future events; the revealed will of God uttered or voiced.
Prophetic ministry was common for prophets of the Old testament. The word prophet comes from the Hebrew word 'nabi', which means to bubble forth as from a fountain. In essence, the prophet proclaimed the message given to him by the mouth of God. A prophet was a spokesman for God responsible for communicating the mind and will of God to men; he spake in God's name and by his authority. He is the mouth by which God speaks to men, and hence, what the prophet says is not of man but of God.
Today, God still has prophets speaking on His behalf. Although many prophets of old and today hold the true ordained office of a prophet, the prophetic ministry is not just limited to prophets. You are the prophet of your life. In other words, you have a measure of grace given to you to call things into being. If you are constantly exposed to the Word of God and have come to a level of truth and revelation concerning God's purpose and will, it is now up to you to release that word into your area of influence. You may not have a church title or position, but you are a dynamic intercessor who knows how to reach the heavens and impact your environment. You may be a powerful witness of God's love, grace, favor, and healing. You may be the man or woman on your job who walks in integrity and refuses to compromise your beliefs. And finally, you may be the Joshua or Esther of our day who has received a promise to possess the land, stand before great men and women, lead a generation to the Promised land, or stand against the powers of darkness.
If this describes you, then you have what's called a prophetic call on your life to unleash the mind and will of God in the earth realm. Start where you are - in your prayer chamber, in your home, in your neighborhood, in your community, on your job. Be the change you want to see happen. Speak faith where there is fear. Speak love to the unlovely. Speak power to the faint. Speak abundance where there is lack. Speak joy where there is sorrow. Don't succumb to mediocrity, the status quo, or to conditions around you. Dare to be different. Dare to unleash the prophetic voice of God's will and purpose. It won't happen until you say it.
